Aunt Jemima products recalled over possible Listeria contamination

first_imgA warning for Canadians to check their freezers, some of the Aunt Jemima products inside may have been recalled.Pinnacle Foods Canada Corporation is recalling Frozen Waffles and Frozen French Toast slices from the market over possible Listeria contamination.Anyone who might have consumed one of the products is being urged to contact your doctor.Recalled products can either be thrown out or returned to the store where it was purchased.According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but it can make you sick.Symptoms include vomitting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe heache and neck stiffness.Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are also at risk.There have been no reported illnesses or incidents, to date, associated with eating one of the products.Anyone looking for more information is being urged to check out the CFIA website.last_img
